Especially in these parts, with medical residents, fellows, etc. any seller who is having a hard time getting what they want should consider taking on a tenant for a year or two. Clearly, many owners never planned on becoming landlords, but ‘it is what it is’ as they say. Better some money than nothing! And if you’re hesitant to manage a rental yourself, contact a Realtor who’s into property management (hint hint nudge nudge). It may not be an ideal situation, but it’s better than a home being empty.
